Celtel premier music awards 2005 in Sierra Leone
Sly, Emmerson, Manzu and K-man, will Slug it out for best male vocalist title. The four popular artists have been placed in category -8 of the forth coming Celtel Premier Award scheduled to take place on the 16th of December, 2005 at the National Stadium, for the title of Best male vocalist in Sierra Leone, while Velma, Lady ‘F’, Vida of Sugar and Sidom Padem fame and Khady Black of Mr. President fame, are expected to battle it out in Category- 10 of the Celtel Premier Music Award 2005 for the title of Best Female Vocalist. The Celtel Premier Music Award 2005 has up to 18 categories that are lined up to be competed for by local artists.

The Music Revolution in Sierra Leone
Music according to folklore, originated in heaven, with Lead Vocalist Angel Lucifer and a host of other angels singing praises to God their maker. They must have mixed those praise songs with music. Christians also believe that the Shepherd boy David, the son of Jesse in the Holy Bible was the first musician in Bible days. They say that intermittently, David was invited to King Saul’s palace.
