The appellant appeals against the undue disadvantage which he claims he has suffered of assorted medical drugs and laboratory reagents to the Ministry of Defence in the evaluation and awarding of the contract. . He further complained about the responsiveness of his bid and being dissatisfied with the bidding and evaluation process carried out by the respondent, the Manager of the appellant firm, one Mr Yahyah S Fofanah wrote a letter of complaint to the Independent Procurement Review Panel, hereinafter referred to as the IPRP, against the decision.

The Chairperson of the Independent Media Commission (IMC), Mrs. Bernadette Cole has admonished the management of Radio Bintumani not to allow anyone to use the radio station to make derogatory remarks that are likely to infuriate a section of the community and lead to chaos and unrest. Mrs. Cole was at the head of a three- member delegation from the IMC to Kabala, Koinadugu district to investigate the cause of the recent unrest in Kabala, with a view to discussing the way forward to avoid a repeat.

German Financial Cooperation with Sierra Leone Notices
The Government of Sierra Leone has received a grant from the Federal Republic of Germany through KfW towards the cost of financing the Pro-Poor Growth for Peace Consolidation (GPC) Programme. The GPC Programme concerns the economic recovery and sustainable employment creation in targeted districts in order to contribute to the consolidation of peace in Sierra Leone. The Programme executing Agency, National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA) in collaboration with GTZ intend to apply part of the grant to cover eligible payments for consultancy services to conduct a Value Chain Study on Small Ruminants and Cattle in the Koinadugu District.

The Sierra Leone National Power Authority (NPA) wants to procure five (5) vehicles to be used in transporting personnel and goods for NPA’s operations, and has allocated funds from its procurement budget for 2010 for the procurement of such goods and now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of five (5) vehicles.
