UNPP Rally in Sierra Leone sends shock waves through Freetown
There is a new man on the political scene in Sierra Leone and if last Saturday's rally that was held to welcome him and his wife back home from the United States of America, is anything to go by, then Professor Abdul Kady Koroma who claims he is the new Leader and Presidential Candidate of the United People's Progressive Party (UNPP) is all set to send some shock waves in Sierra Leone. The huge crowd of supporters that took over the streets of Freetown in their bright yellow outfits holding their party Symbols, a "Shade lamp" was shocking to many. Many bystanders recalled how Pa Karefa Smart, the Founder of UNPP was surprisingly able to floor others in 1996... CLICK ABOVE LINK FOR THE PICTURES

SLPP's Arie Wutehteh Masquerade Rally in Sierra Leone
One of the best ways to analyse the size of a crowd of political supporters at a street rally is for the camera man to station him or herself at one fixed point and then take snapshots as different groups of the political rally march past that point. As can be shown from the camera of our abled reporter Bampia James Bundu, the last SLPP Rally for the "Arie-Wutehteh" masquerade was a huge, huge numerical success. Wave after wave of green-clothed human beings streamed along the streets of Freetown on April 28th 2007. Click above link for the pictures and more...

Death Trap Bridge in Pujehun, Sierra Leone
This dilapidated wooden structure upon which is shown the black jeep of the publisher of Awareness Times as it carefully drives across last week, is the so-called bridge leading into Pujehun Headquarters that was built across a river near Jiweila, Soma Chiefdom. The people of Pujehun are calling upon President Kabbah and the Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP) to pressure the Sierra Leone Roads Authority to repair the structure before it collapses like the Savage Street Bridge recently did in Freetown. It is a death trap! CLICK ABOVE LINK FOR MORE PICTURES.
