Charles Margai Supporters Go Wild with "Ee dey Insie" Campaign Materials
Supporters of Charles Margai, one of the SLPP Leadership contenders now sport campaign T-shirts and badges whilst dancing along the streets to the popular local hit song "Ee dae insie". "Ee dae insie" now seems to be the song of the Margai Campaign Trail. Ace Photojournalist Benjamin Davies went to the Margai Campaign Headquarters and took these pictures. Part 1: Freetown Set Alight with Activists' and Journalists' Candlelight Parade

Hundreds of Journalists and Activists march through the streets of Freetown chanting songs of solidarity and holding lighted candles

On the night of July 30th 2005, hundreds of Journalists and Civil Activists took to the streets of Freetown immediately after the vigil held in memory of the late Harry Hassan Yansaneh. Holding lighted candles, the mourners cried out for justice as they sang songs of solidarity. Awareness Times was there and brings you this photo news in two parts.
