Na Udat We Go Put Now Baa Wey Dey Cam Pull We Pan Dis Yagbah?
Politics in Africa has always been ethnocentric. However, in Sierra Leone ethnocentrism is not highly manifested especially within the Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP).

Yes food security-Nationalism and Economic Independence in Sierra Leone
But read on in this follow up issue and see how nationalism can contribute to effectively handle the hiccups. In my last issue, I did some analysis on food security relating to the change it immediately has on our economy. I did recognise I must dwell on this issue further as I could not compress the piece anymore-so read on!

Food Security In Sierra Leone - Yes It Is Viable
Numerous articles in the media have attacked this issue, the best in the ranks, the idea that the scheme is a pre-election strategy. Food Security in itself is not new.

The Spirit of the African Union-The Federal Republic of Nigeria as a good example
We are Africans, and it’s about time we show solidarity amongst ourselves. Ahmed Sekou Toure (late) of the Republic of Guinea, Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah (late) of the Republic of Ghana, Mwalimu Julius Nyerere (late) of Tanzania, Gamal Abdel Nasser (late) of the United Arab Republic, and lots of African Leaders, had African Unity in their Political vocabulary.

Sierra Leoneans, Come On Home!
Sierra Leone became independent on the 27th of April in 1961. By then, we had a fairly high standard of living and children whose parents could not afford the expenses of basic education enjoyed free primary school education.

A Tribute to a patriot/ nationalist retired Major Abu Noah
It is extremely difficult to write about a person like retired Major Abu (Abubakarr Sidiq) Noah. Do I pay tribute to him as a Military officer, indigenous businessman, a playwright dramatist, philanthropist, poet, politician or a patriot? I have known Abu for a very long time. The man demonstrated his abilities after his false incarceration by a corrupt, vindictive and dictatorial government.

Those paid up Anti Chinese Articles in Sierra Leone
There has been lots of anti-Chinese articles in the papers in the recent past, though, I had earlier written about how progressive businessmen Chinese are. I am convinced their positive contributions outweigh the negative trends our paid up writers try to raise in this nation. Sierra Leone is not the only African nation that Chinese have established businesses and projects, they can be found right across the African continent. In the developed nations, Europe and USA, Chinese business strategies are yet to be matched! Though they have not been in the continent for long, let us once again look back at some of their projects in this country. The National Stadium, Youyi Building, Mange Bridge, Dodo Dam and the most recent, The Gouzi industrial estate in the east end of Freetown.

Come on! Who is afraid of Charlie Boy in Sierra Leone?
That former war monger and Special Court indictee Charles Taylor did meddle into affairs that not only triggered the onslaught of wars in Sierra Leone and Guinea but also directly links him with an absurd desire to be ranked "the godfather/mentor" to this region’s war mongers, is now incontestable!

People Republic of China is already here in Sierra Leone!
The Peoples Republic of China had its independence in 1945 under the dynamic leadership of MAO TSE TUNG. His exemplary vision initiated their independence from Japan and guided their nationalist movement to where they are today! Emerging from colonial imperialist yoke, we had countries like Tanzania, Mali and Guinea opting for a quasi Chinese styled development code.

A Right to Yeliba “WOO -TEH-TEH” in Sierra Leone
Famed song praise singers or “to Yeliba” is actually done to narrate family background of very important people and exhort financial gains - I am not a contemporary Yeliba.  I cannot be a Yeliba (Praise Singer) in my ethnic group. Names especially surnames connote ones position in any ‘clan’. I am a Fofana therefore I cannot be a Yeliba genealogically.
