The ruling APC’s proposed Inquest into the extra-judicial NPRC killings of former Police Chief James Bambay Kamara; allegedly by persons like Tom Nyuma will, in all likelihood, never come to fruition but it has been well used to yield high political dividends for President Koroma with opposition SLPP members now suspected of having partaken in the 1992 extra-judicial killings now silent or transformed into H.E. Mr. President, is there a Junior Secondary School or is there not at Tondola Junction in Kailahun, Sierra Leone?
In his bid to probably give the world a fine toned image about his APC ruling government, His Excellency Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma in a published and widely circulated book has proclaimed promoting education countrywide. One such is fabricating that he has provided Tondola Junction in the Kailahun District – one of SLPP strongholds - with an ultra modern Junior Secondary School. Investigations launched by this newspaper however prove this to be a big, big fabrication (ie: A LIE); no such school exists in that part of the country. This is what the cartoonist, Momoja Lappia intends to principally depict in this piece titled “Telling Lies On Tondola Junction”.

We want Economic Freedom
Since 1961 when we were granted independence, we are yet to attain the heights of the Asian Tigers and the South American bloc, because we got political independence while they got political and economic independence. Up till now Sierra Leone has to be moving up and down the globe running after the imperialists with cap in hand and tails between their legs begging for crumbs that fell from there table. What a shame! Political independence without economic independence is meaningless. Democracy, Freedom of speech in my view, is not complete, when the mass of the people live in abject poverty, and elected leaders live and enjoy underserved affluence.

The Unfinished Revolution: Getting the Balance Right in Sierra Leone's House of Parliament
About Twenty-three (23) countries in the world have achieved a critical mass of 30 percent women in national parliaments. These countries have been successful because each of them has recognised the importance of equity between women and men in decision-making as reflected in changes in their electoral and parliamentary processes. As a woman who has dedicated the best years of my life fighting for gender equality and equity, I am convinced that this an opportune time for Mama Salone to join the global movement in support of her womenfolk. Drugs Can Be More Harmful Than You May Know!! An Easy Way To Commit Suicide- Drugs.
Drugs in every form, state or preparation are important tools used in administering treatment to humans, but if overused, misused or abused can lead to severe catastrophes that will, in most cases, endanger the life or lives of the person or people involved. The drug paracetamol, for example has been shown to have dangerous effect on the liver. Prolonged use, misuse or abuse of this drug will therefore predispose an individual to severe liver abnormality which may end in its failure and ultimately death of the person in the absence of transplant. Against this background, it is important that we widen our understanding of the use of these all important and yet potentially dangerous substances.

Mohamed Should Blame President & Margai; Not J.O.B
Mohamed Bangura, I understand is not happy that SLPP Leader John Ben has reminded us of the allegation made by Mr. Charles Margai up in Makeni last month that President Koroma is involved in a shady US$300,000 deal to set up Mohamed Bangura in a new political party. However, I think Brother Mohamed is mis-directing his anger. He should be blaming President Koroma who got I. B. Kargbo to retract the blackmail comments against Mr. Margai but was content to leave Mr. Margai’s US$300,000 allegation stand unchallenged.

Time to Read Between the Lines (Part 1)
It is becoming clear to politically conscious observers that persistent attacks on selected APC or State functionaries which appear on pages of certain newspapers, have the blessings of powerful figure(s) within the ruling APC party who would like to have those APC personalities removed from office but wish to first sway public opinion against them in order to minimise the expected backlash of such removals. These particular newspapers are not anti-corruption activists as they self-portray themselves but are merely tools being used by certain powers-that-be within the Koroma regime, to mislead the public that the fight against corruption in Sierra Leone is taking hold when the real corrupt persons are going about their corruption unhindered and untouched.
