Famous musical artist, K-Man, was reportedly spotted past Christmas Day with his musical set, amidst an organized SLPP campaign rally at Kalangba in the Bombali District.
This was disclosed during a PMDC-hour programme, aired on the 95.1 FM Station in Makeni on December 26th last year, by senior supporters of the Peoples Movement for Democratic Change, Abdul Sanna Sanko and Mohamed Bangura of the Canada Branch.
According to the PMDC strongmen, they were at Kalangba to celebrate Christmas with their supporters but were surprised to see popular musical star, K Man, moving in SLPP circles with his musical set, which according to many people, is not right for K-Man to allow himself to be used by the ruling SLPP party when political campaigning was yet to be sanctioned by NEC.
One of the Canada guys, Mohamed Bangura, therefore called on Bingo-Man to desist from being misused by some politicians which, according to Bangura, is not in his interest, adding that though he has the right to vote or to even campaign for any political party, he should, however, wait until the final whistle is blown by the National Electoral Commission (NEC), which is the only body entrusted with the mandate to do so..
However, frantic efforts to see K-Man for his own side of the story, proved fruitless.
This is however not the first time that reports are emerging of the popular musician’s leaning towards the SLPP. It was reported that he was amongst those who performed in honour of Solomon Berewa in London recently.
There is a big ongoing debate in Sierra Leone as to whether musicians should be seen as politically supportive of the Government.
