Mr. Abdul Bero Kamara,
First of all, I am not Dr. Sylvia Blyden. My name is truly Mariatu Sesay but Mariatu is my middle name and Sesay is my maiden name. I decided to use my middle name and maiden name and not my better known first name and married name to write my piece to you. However, I first revealed my real name to both Awareness Times and New People when I emailed them my first piece using my real email address. I did so because looking at the way and manner in which Cocorioko attacks others who disagree with you guys, left me with little option than to protect my real identity whilst I tried to guide you to behave better than the way you are now displaying your ignoble manners. However, does my name really matter here? My points are what should count here. Not my identity.
I have read your piece glorifying your mother on Cocorioko. Good for your mother! You can help your mother’s image a little bit more by writing like the son of a good woman. Right now, I know you do not realize it but you are writing like the son of a woman of ill repute. Why do you think only Cocorioko is publishing your offensive articles against Sylvia Blyden?
About using the APC:
It is good that you have now written without describing yourself as you did before as the APC Secretary General. It is good for the APC’s image that you left their name out of your description this time. Thank you for doing that brother.
About Unfounded Attacks on Blyden:
Dr. Sylvia Blyden has stated that not only has she never lived in the jungle but she has never even been there on a visit! She challenges what you and Reverend Kabs Kanu have been trying to pass as true.
As an educated man, you should let us the jury whom you are calling upon to judge, see the reason why you are insisting on pushing this theory which Sylvia Blyden is damning as a figment of malicious imaginations. Anyone can hate someone and make up stories about them being Foday Sankoh’s concubine and spread it around. I reference you to read a recent piece by Former President Tejan Kabbah on maliciously spreading lies to tarnish other people’s images.
By refusing to provide us with evidence why you are attacking Sylvia Blyden with this allegation, you look ignoble and petty. Simply put, Mr. Abdul Bero Kamara you now look like a lying, spiteful, ill-mannered small boy. Sylvia Blyden says she has never been in the jungle. You insist, without any evidence, that she has been in the jungle and was Foday Sankoh’s wife in the jungle. Where is your evidence for such a position you take?
Mr. Abdul Bero Kamara, please make your dear mother proud and bring the evidence of this jungle concubine allegation for us all to read. If you do not do that, you will remain forever damned as a malicious and petty liar who, alongside Kabs Kanu of Cocorioko, brought shame on a global scale, to your mothers, your wives, your sisters and all the women in your life.
Finally, living in America as you do, I want to ask you what do you think of strong black women like Condoleezza Rice who have chosen not to get married? Do you think they must also be rescued as they are “in heat”? I am just curious to understand you better. I am curious to understand your mindset some more.
Once more, Mr. Abdul Bero Kamara, as a proud, black Sierra Leonean woman, I call upon you to do the right thing, make your mother proud and stop writing like an “S.O.B” but write like someone your mother brought up well.
We are all waiting on you to make your mama proud.
Thank you again for your attention so far.
Dr. Mariatu Sesay
