To mark their hundred days of operation in Sierra Leone, the United Bank for Africa (SL) Limited on Friday 31st October 2008 officially launched the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) service at their Charlotte Street head office in Freetown.

Officially launching the product, the managing director of UBA, Mr. Yinusa Abdul Rahman informed his audience that the bank commenced banking operations in this country on the 22nd July 2008.

"Today marks UBA’s 100 days of operation in the country, and we are therefore excited to launch our ATM service".

The ATM service he said would enhance the banking experience of their existing customers and attract new ones to the bank. "The continuous growth of customers is a clear indication that people in Sierra Leone are embracing UBA, as we remain steadfast in our commitment to providing world-class financial services we are known for," the M D added.

He said as part of their vision to be the undisputed leading and dominant financial services institution in Africa, the bank’s expansion drive on the continent continues to grow with Tanzania as the latest addition to their network of 12 countries.

He promised that as a recognized leader within the financial services industry, UBA would continue its drive to be a role model for African businesses by creating superior value for all their stakeholders, abiding by the utmost professional and ethical standards as well as building an enduring institution.

A customer, Josephus Brown expressed his satisfaction for UBA, more especially with the availability of ATM facilities.
