The more-than-century-old city central district recreational resort, Victoria Park will soon regain its attraction if City Council’s modernization vow is anything to go by.

In a recent exclusive with FCC’s Deputy Chief Administrator Arthur Kwesi John, he said the municipality has the avid capacity to transform the park into a state of the arts affair with adequate provision of modern facilities for recreational purpose.

Paramount among the facilities he spoke of are a better swimming pool, restaurants, internet cafés, ice cream shops, banking outlets with ATM facilities and many more.

"We wish to give the people a better place for entertainment," he stated, revealing that companies like Zain SL, ProCredit Bank and others have accepted to help in the ongoing refurbishment work.

When contacted, the elated and enthusiastic Park manager, Mathew Kongo called the move as unprecedented. In that regard, he implored the public to exercise patience as according to him, the park would soon be ready for public use.
