The United Bank of Africa (UBA) has introduced three new services for its customers, in addition to the recently launched ATM services. The unique services, E-Alert, SMS Alert and E-Statement will enhance the banking experience of UBA customers.

SMS Alert is a unique service that sends detailed real-time text messages to a mobile phone whenever an account is debited or credited. Specifically, the message will include the type of transaction, whether through the ATM system, cheque or cash, the location of the transaction including the address of the branch or ATM. This service is ideal for all customers because it enables them to track and monitor their accounts activity with greater ease.

E-Alert is similar to the SMS Alert service, however; account activity is sent via- Email. E-Statement is an account statement for a particular period generated on a computer, using transactions from a customers account and sent electronically via email to a customer. E-Statement provides customers with regular reports of transactions on all their accounts. E-Statement is delivered to customers e-mail addresses as soon as they are generated. Customers have the choice to receive account statements daily, weekly, cumulative, monthly or in combination.

The Managing Director/CEO of UBA, Sierra Leone chapter, Abdulrahman Yinusa said the new services are part of his promise to bring banking convenience and value added products and services to UBA customers in particular and Sierra Leone as a whole. He added that there are still more unique products and services that will soon be launched by the bank in the Sierra Leone market.
