Christmas a Low Key Affair This Time

APCs Globalization is not in anyway an ameliorating issue as we wake up day after day. It started like a joke, expecting the president to perform a miracle overnight to brighten up situation. But what continues to unfold is a sorry affair. Sierra Leone is drowning into abyss of extreme poverty by day since the party clinched power, thanks to Christiana Thorpes nefarious electoral process with the annulations of the Kailahun Court Barray results, aided by and the PMDCs unholy alliance last year.

The party had a very promising manifesto though, and thanks to their pull-the-SLPP-down campaign syndrome, people were with the opinion that another Moses was surely around. Voting ended and the reality came with its glaring eyes looking into Ernest Koromas face. "What can we do," he asked his surrogates. "Lets go electric!" they trumpeted. "At least the SLPP denied our peoples light, so let there be light," they said, and there was light. Light? What purpose would it serve our hungry, illiterate folks, 65% of whom dwell in the hinter land?" Or worst still, what an undervoltaged illumination got to do with development, when most of our household gadgets are non functional because of damages done by low output? Or if I may be allowed to say it; what do illiterates and down trodden Party support base know about electricity, if not the quest for daily survival?

Income Electrix? Hello! "We are here to come to your aid. Without even considering procurement rules, we can serve you with nobody coughing!" "But do you know that we will find it difficult to off set you because most customers are domestic that hitherto refuse to honour bills? "Dont worry, we will still go ahead. At least other means are there like the NRA, our petit escroc head will allow us once he is buffeting to his fill."

But the NRA is now state enemy number one with a drastic shortfall never witnessed since its inception. We even get whispers of the Presidents displeasure. But how for do first mother is always at the pleading end for them! Do the wrong today and tomorrow you get to Makeni, a simple telephone call can pardon you ha! Ha!

So Pa Ernest still refuses to see the reality on the ground. Many waters have passed underneath the bridge since the APC started leading us last year. Control mechanisms are off records. Everybody does what he or she wants. The party? You must be dreaming! Every small headed councillor or half baked MP can take decision within his locality overnight with no reference to or respect for party aspirations.

APCs focus at the moment is on how to come back to power in 2012. They have forgotten that they have not even started serving the electorate who were lured into the mess through flattery and double standardness.

The entire dance has now ended in the arena, its rightful place. Lies can exist for a moment but the truth triumphs. Food Security no food security, running a country like a business et al have all become blurred. Hunger persists, investors continue to shy as Bumbuna pylons and cables go on ravaged, with proceeds into pockets.

This year will record the lowest key to celebrating X-mass! Den say wae married wan swit, na from de bachelors eve. Shopping spree should be in earnest progress now for the season, but we are yet to see that and receive more JCs. Fuel price dropped but businesses refuse to drop their costs because of high customs rates and other unwarranted administrative ineptitudes.

So we are sorry to announce that we can not surely run this country like a business. We have not yet completed filling in our pockets. You can not enjoy any festivity unless our bellies are filled!
