Kailahun Earmark Hon. Robin Faley for SLPP District Chair in Sierra Leone

Colleague Members of Parliament, Youths, women, Councillors and other party stakeholders in the Kailahun District have, after a lot of deliberations asked Hon. Robin Faley to perform the role of district chairman for the next term. As the race or the zonal, district, regional and national party conventions unfold, recent development in that district (Kailahun Court Barray) seems to become much clearer that Hon Robin Faley is the sure choice for that position. Popular polls from the district seem to indicate that through his selfless contribution to his subjects, in Constituency 07 particularly and the district as a whole, there is no other person fitter sell the image of the party in that capacity.

Hon. Robin Faley

In an exclusive telephone interview yesterday 18th December 2008, one of the young men in Kailahun town, Maliki Jalloh intimated that at this time of national politics, the party now needs vibrant, articulate, sincere and humble young people for important positions. "After that we have observed, listened and monitored the performance of all our SLPP stakeholders, Hon. Faley has clearly emerged the popular choice," he said, adding that they now need sincere, pure and clean politicians who are ready to sacrifice their time, knowledge, and money to liberate the district.

Similar sentiment was made by Councillor Patrick Moiwo of Dea Chiefdom. In a brief chat at his Kissy Bai Pass Road resident in Freetown, he said Hon. Faley seems dedicated to his people. "He is one of the MPs who frequent his constituents, unlike others that prefer to stay in Freetown, so it will be no mistake if we give him the chance to become district party chairman," he opined.

Hon. Faley has embarked on many developmental projects in Segbwema, including large acreage cultivation of rice farm, supply of equipment to the Nixon Memorial Hospital, environmental cleaning and the establishment of tuition facility for BECE and WASSCE students in the township.
