ADMIN/ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
JOB DESCRIPTION

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Assist the Finance/Admin. Manager to define and implement financial policies in such areas as budget, cash management and forecasting, funding, recording and documentation, project auditing, procurement policies, monthly financial reporting and being cognizant of SLIEPA’s financial policies.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assisting in the procurement process concerning contracts for provision of services, supplies and Grants
· Handling daily administrative regarding estate maintenance; vehicles, office supplies and assist the Finance/Admin. Manager in financial and HR. matters
· Help in the follow up of audit findings
· Maintain the Imprest system of SLIEPA and updating related cashbooks
· Responsible for maintaining and organizing the archive; ensuring that files are well kept and properly filed.
· Any other task assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Requires a diploma in Business Administration/Finance and a minimum of 3 years experience in the related field is desirable. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Sierra Leone Procurement procedures, and practical knowledge of financial systems and internal control procedures. Computer literate and willingness to work beyond normal working hours. Age limit: 25-32yrs

Job Description for Trade Information Officer

Duties & Responsibilities

· Develops an information collection (print and digital) appropriate to the needs of the exporters and investors base of the information service (acquiring books, periodicals, online services and other information centre materials.
· Oversee the information processing requirements of the information service (e.g cataloguing, classifying, indexing
· Provided information services and instruction to the users, including reference services, bibliographic and electronic instructions, promotions and ITC services and resources.
· Response to queries received from visitors/in person, via telephone, fax, mail, email.
· Preparation of an operational plan for the trade information Centre
· Coordination of the acquisition of suitable information sources
· Organization of existing and newly acquired information sources.
· Establishment of management procedures to facilitate the efficient operation of the Service, including mechanisms for monitoring and evaluating its performance.
· Conduct information research using a variety of information resources; print, online
· Coordinates production of exporters’ of database
· Coordinates information content for SLIEPA Website
· Coordinates the Information Services publication activities, including newsletters, Country Market Guides
· Provides enquiry/research services at he enquiry desk (part-time)
· Assists clients with the use of information resources and related equipment
· Provide information about the Trade information Service’s activities, facilities, policies and services, and resources.
· Plan and direct or carriers out special project

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

· A university degree in Library studies, Business Studies, Management or equivalent, and/or at least 2 years experience in information services
· Basic knowledge of Internet applications, html programming
· Good knowledge of trade information resources
· Ability to conduct research on online resources
· Good interpersonal and communication skills
· Communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely, in writing: read and understand information presented in writing.
· Supervise others by assigning/directing work and development, taking appropriate disciplinary/corrective actions.

Good Skills
