RESPONSE TO NEWSPAPER PUBLICATION

The Ministry of Energy & Power would like to draw the attention of the general public to an exclamatory front-page article in the Tuesday 20th January, 2009 edition of the CONCORD TIMES newspaper captioned, "Energy minister may go!"

The Ministry observes the article is a calculated attempt to provoke an embarrassing situation for the Minister and her institution; and therefore strongly condemns it in its entirety.

While the Minister and her crew continue to work relentlessly, we encourage all and sundry (particularly members of the Press) to always contact our office and cross-check with us any information before going to press.
