Finance & Administrative Manager Ė Job Description
The Finance Manager will be responsible for all financial and administrative operations in all offices of Helen Keller International Sierra Leone.
Report Directly to: Country Director
Direct the Work of: Administrative/Finance Assistant
Collaborate with: HKI Regional Finance Advisor, HKI/HQ Finance & Operations Department, HKI Country Staff & Partners
Generally, the Finance Manager will:
Provide financial oversight of all financial operation and practices in the Country office.
Ensure compliance with all local laws relating to accounting, finance.
Ensure compliance with all HKI policies & procedures.
Ensure accounting and operating information is complete and reliable.
Liaise with donors, banks, contractors, government officials and other partners relating to financial issues.
Human Resource experience and financial Management techniques initiative will be an added advantage
1. Driven by the values and mission of HKI.
2 Understanding of the dynamics, opportunities and challenges of work with local partners.
3. Strong diplomatic, communication and interpersonal skills in a cross cultural context.
4. Stand alone self starter with a positive outlook.
5. Proven ability both to solve complex accounting problems and communicate effectively on these with non-specialist staff.
6. Flexible and adaptable disposition.
Qualified Professional Accountant with five years post qualification experience or a Bachelors Degree in Accounting with five years post qualification experience;
Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel and Quicken;
Fluency in spoken and written English;
