The First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Mrs. Sia Nyama Koroma on Sunday 29th March 2009 launched the Church School Building Project of the Michael Dean Mueller Memorial Wesleyan Church in Lumley.

Prior to launching the project, Mrs. Sia Koroma thanked the pastor and members of the church for the invitation to perform the function of kick starting the school project. She expressed commitment to use the profile of her office to aid the completion of the school building, albeit she is no development specialist.

First Lady Koroma emphatically pointed out that education is the key to development, whilst lauding the initiative of the school building project.

She used the forum as an opportunity to call on all and sundry to significantly contribute towards the completion of the project. Deputy Minister in the Finance and Economic Development Ministry, Hon. Dr. Kandeh Konteh, who also doubles as Chairman, Development Committee of the Project, expressed appreciation to the First Lady for her presence and financial contributions. Dr. Konteh expressed his conviction that with the First Lady by their side, they are sure to yield success. He gave an overview of the school building project.
