he International Student Support Officer , is available throughout the year to discuss any issues that may arise and will either give you advice and support, or direct you to the most appropriate service provider.

Support services offer general advice and support to students. The Independent Advice Unit, run by the Students Union, offers free, confidential and impartial advice on a range of issues including debt management, immigration and visa issues, employment, civil rights, and a range of other matters. There is a professional counselling service on campus provided by appointment on a weekly basis.

Healthcare

All international students are advised to register with a GP. All full-time international students are entitled to free medical care under the UK National Health Service (NHS), but you will need to pay the standard prescription charge for any prescribed medication. We would advise you to take out medical insurance for your time at Crown International College, as some treatments or medical return to your home country will not be covered by the NHS. If you are under medical treatment or suffering from any disability you are asked to report to the Colleges Medical Officer as soon as possible, bringing with you any relevant information from your own doctor.

Disability Support

The College  welcomes applications from students with disabilities. We encourage you to discuss any issues you might have with our Disability Advisers prior to making an application for study, and if you have a mobility impairment we suggest that you make a visit to the college at an early stage. This will enable you to make an informed choice about the suitability of the institution. We have a programme of improvements to the environment but we are a large campus set on a hill and you should see the environment for yourself to assess how you will cope.

English Language Support

The English Language Unit offers language support for international students in the form of classes, one-to-one tutorial sessions, materials for loan and a bank of on-line resources for self-study. For information on classes or to book a one-to-one appointment with an English language tutor, email englishsupport@ciclondon.co.uk.

student life...

Happiness is the key to success and the College welfare team is work hard to ensure that students are comfortably accommodated and well looked after.

For many of our students their journey to London to study at the College is their first time away from home and, for most, represents a major change of lifestyle. It is vitally important therefore that the College provides expert help and guidance regarding accommodation and welfare.

Even before our overseas students board their flights to England our Student Services team are working hard on their behalf to ensure that all goes well on their arrival in the UK and that a driver is waiting to take them to their accommodation from the airport (if requested).

Then, once they commence their studies, members of the Student Services team are available to help the new students overcome any difficulties they may face in the first few weeks.

The team are well aware that students academic success at the College will often depend on their comfort in their surroundings and their ability to overcome any anxiety caused by homesickness, and consequently great emphasis is placed on ensuring that students are happy with their living accommodation.

The Teaching

Students entering the College enjoy every practical incentive to succeed. Crown International College London is staffed by tutors of the highest quality and all students have access to an impressive range of specialist teaching aids including audio-visual equipment and modern computer facilities. Lecturers are chosen not just for their technical skills but also for their ability to impart their knowledge to others. They are entertaining and friendly, and always do their best to ensure progressive environment students discover a new interest in learning, and new outlets for their natural potential.

What happens if your are refused a visa?

In the unfortunate situation where a student is refused an entry clearance to the UK,  all tuition fee paid will be refunded less  administrative charge of 250 subject to the following terms and conditions:

 1. The college is notified  in writing within four weeks after the visa has been refused, and the student does not wish to appeal.
 2. Students who have applied from overseas and have been refused a visa to enter the UK. (Proof of refusal of visa, and return of all original documents provided by the college, will be required.)
3. Students already in the UK who withdraw from the course, whether or not the notification has been made more than four weeks before the start of the course, are also required as a condition of granting a refund not to have used the college documentation to secure any advantage, in immigration, financial or other areas. The college may require confirmation that such advantage has not been secured or that it has been given up before a refund can be granted.
4. In cases  were an applicant was refused visa due to fraudulent or forged documentation presented to the BHC, the college may however at its discretion grant a discretionary ex gratia payment amounting to a full or partial refund outside its contractual obligations, according to the colleges discretionary refund policy
