A Porter at the Connaught Hospital has been declared wanted by the police, for allegedly administering a lethal dose of injection on a couple, leading to their untimely deaths.

Samuel Sesay was declared wanted after efforts by the police to arrest him, in order to ascertain his role in the mysterious deaths of Mr. Santigie Kamara and Mrs. Fatu Kargbo.

Local Unit Commander (LUC) of the Ross Road Police Division, Superintendent William Fayia Sellu disclosed on Tuesday 22nd September 2009 told pressmen the couple died just an hour after the injections were administered on them.

The incident, according to the LUC, took place at the mountainous area of Mount Aureole, Betham Lane.

He said the team of police officers that arrived at the scene discovered used syringe packets, but not the drug administered, in the room where the corpses were found.

The police were informed at the residence of the suspect that the latter had abandoned his home for the past four months.

The remains of the deceased are presently at the Connaught Hospital Mortuary, awaiting post mortem, whilst the suspect remains on the run.

In another development, the post mortem result for four people, who recently died in a room at Peterson Street in the east of Freetown, proved that the deceased persons died of suffocation. The result indicates that the deceased suffered respiratory arrest and carbon monoxide poisoning, which is believed to have been caused by fumes from a coal pot.
