It was quite emotional to behold the frustration that was written all over the face of President Ernest Bai Koroma whilst revealing that corruption is still thriving in the country despite his warnings. The Presidentís fight against corruption has proved to be an enormous task more especially when it has become a public secret that government officials connive with foreigners to loot the country of billions of Leones. The National Revenue Authority (NRA) is the first to fall into Ernest Koromaís trap. Several serious minded citizens including Dr. Sylvia Blyden had insisted that NRAís Allieu was victimized in order to grant the leeway for corrupt individuals to thrive unabated. Mr. President, now that it is evident that Allieu Sesayís removal from the NRA was just a ploy by corrupt individuals, donít you think itís high time you reinstate the relieved Commissioner General?
