1. The Government of Sierra Leone invites bids from suppliers for the supply of Special Diet to Freetown Central Prison, Life Flour and Rice to Prisons Department effective 1 st May 2006 to 31st December 2006.

2. Each bid must be submitted in Triplicate in a sealed envelope marked "CONFIDENTIAL TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY OF SPECIAL DIET, LIFE FLOUR AND RICE " should reach the Procurement Unit, c/o Prison Headquarters, New England, Freetown not later than 12 noon on Tuesday 28th day of February, 2006.

3. Bidding document pertaining to this tender can be inspected and purchased at the cost of Lel00,000.00 (One hundred thousand leones) per copy from the Procurement Unit, Prison Headquarters, New England, Freetown.

4. Bids will be open on the same Tuesday 28th day of February 2006 at 1:00 pm at the Conference room of the Headquarters, New England, Freetown. Bidders or their representatives must be present.

5. Suppliers intending to bid must have met all their Statutory obligations for operations and must submit evidence to that effect in the form of photocopies of a valid and current tax clearance from NRA, certificate and a business licenses including clearance ftom NASSIT. Failure to submit any of the above will lead to an automatic disqualification of the corresponding bid.

6. Bids will only be considered from companies that bought the Bidding Document. Therefore bidders should ensure that the Bidding document is bought in the name of the Company or Enterprise under which they are bidding.

7. Bids must be accompanied by a bid security of not less than 2% of the total bid amount.
