NEC demands US$58 Million

The National Electoral Commission has reportedly demanded the whooping sum of US$58,000,000.00 (Fifty-Eight Million Dollars) as a fitting budget for their 2010-2014 operations.  This amount reports say will help the institution to do voter registration, electoral law reforms, boundary delimitations, as well as presidential, parliamentary and local council elections.  In the quest for free fair and transparent elections the Minister of Finance Dr. Samura Kamara has consented to the appropriateness of the projection

Hon. Eric B. Jumu of the opposition SLPP has confirmed the epidemic is real.  He reportedly made this observation in a three-day HIV/AIDS training workshop conducted for the media.  Hon. Street trading politicized Monitored reports reveal that the mayor of Freetown municipality, Herbert George Williams has come under intense criticism from his APC party members for attacking street traders. Although unconfirmed media reports claim that Mayor Herbert Williams move to clear street traders from the city is non political, critics within the APC say it is inimical to President Koromas 2010 bid.  Many have reportedly related the condemnation to a real politicization of national issues by the ruling APC.
