The only Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) Councilor in the Western Area, Councilor Ibrahim Kabba aka Small Borbor, has again lifted the SLPP flag sky high in the Goderich Community and its environs.

On Saturday 26th June 2010, Councilor Small Borbor solely sponsored an Inter-Area Marathon Athletic Competition for residents of Constituency 93 as a whole. The competition attracted youths, children and matured adults residing within the Constituency. The participants were divided into categories and zones to take part in the marathon which ended at the end point of Funkia in Goderich.

Categories included participants aged 18-31, running from Hamilton to Funkia, aged 31-40 running from Ogoo Farm to Funkia whilst those aged 41 and above, ran from Adonkia to Funkia and finally the children category also ran from Adonkia to Funkia respectively. At the end of the race, Daniel Abu Taylor won the aged 18-31 race, Masinga Turay won the aged 31-40 race, followed by Yusuf Smith who won the age 41 and above for men and Rugiatu Sesay won the same for women category. Balu Jalloh then clinched the childrens category award. The competition saw each and every winner proudly taking home with him/her a 25kilo bag of rice plus some thousands of Leones each. Also, a consolation prize of five thousand Leones each was given to all other participants in the Marathon Race.

Expressing thanks and appreciation to Councilor Small Borbor, one of the winners, 41 years old runner, Rugiatu Sesay, showered praises on the councilor and the SLPP as a whole for giving her family the opportunity of going through the rainy season without any hurry to seek for their daily meal as she said with this bag of rice, she is free from the troubles of searching for money to buy rice for the next one month.

"It is for some of these reasons that my family and I will keep on voting for Councilor Kabba even if he contests for the Presidential seat" said 41years old Yusuf Smith as he joyfully took home his own bag of rice.

It could be recalled that Councilor Ibrahim Kabbah some few months ago donated dozens of wheel chairs and clutches to the Goderich Health Center. He also donated football kits worth millions of Leones and some United States Dollars to youths of Goderich, Borbor, York, Marjay Town, Hamilton, Gbendebu, Funkia, amongst others. It could also be noted that Councilor Small Borbor in December 2009 and January 2010, organized a Boxing Competition that create impact in the mind of youths of that community and its surroundings.

In few words, Councilor Kabbah told the Awareness Times that he is doing all he can to prove to his subjects that he was elected to represent them and ensure that their needs are met. "I will do more and more if only I have the finance needed" Councilor Small Borbor assured.
