One of the leading Telecommunications Companies in Sierra Leone, Africell, on Thursday, 8th September 2010 presented a cheque of Le 60 Million to the Winner of the Find the Missing Treasure Promotions, at the companys headquarters, Wilberforce, Freetown. This is the fourth presentation ceremony conducted by Africell and the total amount of money being won by lucky Africell winners is above Le 128 Million to about 214 lucky subscribers across the country.

Presenting the prizes to the winners on behalf of Africell, the Head of Event and Sponsorship, Mr. Arthur B. Kallon reiterated the companys relentlessness in honoring its social corporate responsibility over the years, stressing that there was no going back from that direction. He said Africell has for two consecutive years won the Best Mobile Companys Award in Sierra Leone because of its best customer care service, and the fact that Africell has been living to its contractual responsibilities. He said the Find the Missing Treasure promotion is aimed at keeping Muslims happy as they observe the Holy Month of Ramadan by providing food for them. In that vein, he encouraged Africell subscribers to continue sending blank SMS to 777 to stand more chances of winning Le 20 Million during the month of Ramadan. He went on to outline series of other chances such as Le 400,000, Le 300,000, Le 200,000 or better still have the chance to spin the Wheel of Fortune where lucky subscribers can win 21 inches Plasma TV, 2.5 KVA Generator, Freezer, Top up cards, and other attractive prizes. He explained that to stand a chance of winning the full Hajj Package which comprises traveling and accommodation, subscribers should send blank SMS to 7120.

Giving the total amount of money and equipment being won by lucky Africell winners so far, the Africell Communications Officer, Tommy Terry Coker noted that 14 people have won 32 inches Plasma TVs, 7 have won Generators, 13 have won Fridges, and 214 have won cash prizes. He however revealed that the Find the Missing Treasure Promotion will come to an end soon as the final presentation for the promotion will commence on Thursday, 16th instant.

In his remark of appreciation, the winner of the Le 60 Million, Mohamed S. Conteh commended Africell for making his dream come true and thanked God for providing him with such luck to win such an amount of money in the month of Ramadan. He however revealed that he was coming from prayers when he received a call from Africell to choose numbers in the basket. I choose basket 10 and therefore had the chance to open the cicimi from where I choose Pot 5 and lucky for me, I won the Le 60 Million, lucky Conteh explained. He used the opportunity to encourage Africell subscribers to continue making attempts through SMS to win themselves wonderful prizes from Africell.

Another winner who clinched the 21 inches television, Alpha Karim Kamara commended also Africell for introducing such a wonderful promotion for its subscribers. He confessed of having doubts about the whole Africell promotion, but now, he maintained, I believe that it is real and there is nothing like dubiousness in the process. Before now, I detested promotions conducted by mobile companies as I viewed them as another way of duping people. But by what I have seen and experienced, I am now satisfied that Africell promotions are factual and worth going for.
