Late Leonard Balogun Koroma (Jnr.)
The mortal remains of Leonard Balogun Koroma Jnr., who met his untimely death on Monday 13th September 2010 at the Choithram Hospital in Freetown after a brief illness, was laid to rest yesterday Monday 27th September 2010 at the Race Course Cemetery in Freetown.

Prior to the burial of the charming, extrovert, prayerful, and forward-looking 26 years old Leonard, a funeral service that attracted people from all walks of life at home and abroad, was held at the Centenary Tabernacle Church, along Circular Road in Central Freetown.

The church service which commenced at about 2:30pm with burial sentences was overshadowed by tears from the bereaved family, mourners, and sympathizers in remembrance of the late Leonard.

Giving a tribute, a family member described Leonard as someone the Balogun Koroma family is not going to find so easy to replace.

Meanwhile, a memorial service is planned for the deceased man on Sunday October 3rd 2010 at the same church starting 9:30am.

The church service was graced by Vice President Chief Sam Sumana, First Lady Sia Nyama Koroma, National Chairman of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) John Oponjo Benjamin, Ministers of Defence, Energy & Water Resources, Mines and Political Affairs, Local Government and Rural Development, and a host of other government functionaries including the country's new Ambassador Designate to Russia, Sahr John Yambasu.
