Specifically the Commercial Analyst will:

Work directly for the VP Services, and be responsible for designing and building the commercial financial model across the Services portfolio (Logistics, Safety, Security, Health, Environment, Social and HR). This model will be required to support monthly budget versus actual commercial reporting and will need to integrate with financial team accounts and month end processes.

Liaise strongly with the HR teamfff6f and integrate outputs of workforce planning into the commercial model so that both financial and FTE / people data can be reported.

Have extremely strong PowerPoint skills (advanced level) and expect to be using PowerPoint on a daily basis to for activities such as generating monthly reports, documenting outputs of meetings and creating ‘one page summary’ visual communications etc.

Capable of working alongside the VP Services on a day-to-day basis and as such will need to be mobile and able to travel on a regular basis. At this stage the VP Services expects to be splitting her time as follows:

Provide detailed mine plans and schedules to support the medium term mine planning of the mine. Mine planning will include multi pit mining and multi element blending from different separate mining areas.

Execute technical studies regarding optimization of the mine fleet, mine scheduling (month, year plans) and delivering the associated designs with all relevant information: contour levels,3D polylines, volumes calculation, haulage profiles.

Propose alternative locations for the implementation of processing facilities like in-pit crushers, crushing & screening facilities delivering the associated locations, reference levels (RL’s), cut & fill requirements.

Generate mathematical optimal pits and operational final pits.

Qualifications and experience

Candidates will need relevant tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering and about 5 years’ experience in Mining Engineering.

Candidates will need to demonstrate proven open pit experience with advanced skills in pit optimization, mine design, mine scheduling and costing and need skills to operate mine software like Vulcan, Xpac, Datamine, Gemcom, Minesight, and Autocad.

Support Tonkoilili’s IT Infrastructure, Network and System services to ensure the voice & data network, server, storage, database administration and end-user environments are effectively maintained and supported. 

Ensure all site-based IT facilities are maintained to provide reliable services, including working with service providers to ensure that the environment is stable and highly available.

Administer the company’s IT systems, including integrity and security of all computer systems, use and development of computer applications, and integration of computer systems / applications.

Work with Service Providers carry out all aspects of contractual obligation for proactive and preventative maintenance of IT facilities or other service delivery, as applicable.

Document all of Freetown’s IT networks, system maps, hardware register & software registers.

Key Skills

A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or the equivalent 5 years work experience in a similar role.

Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in Network design principles, Network Administration policies and procedures, IP Telephony, Data backup and storage principles, Windows software and operating environments, antivirus and firewall protection software etc.

Specifically the Mining Superintendent will:

Manage the Mining Contractor relationship
Ensure Safety across the mining operation is implemented & maintained

Work closely with Technical Services department to ensure mine plans are adhered to and achieved
Manage Contractor costs, budgets & schedules in accordance with Production Schedule

Specifically the Process Plant Manager will:

Oversee and manage the development of the Tonkolili Magnetite Concentrator and all ancillary processing plant and equipment through construction, commissioning and operational phases working closely with the Infrastructure Project team.

Manage the Process Contractor relationship overseeing all activity ensuring company objectives; KPI’s and targets are achieved.

Provide technical and managerial expertise for the Laboratory and Metallurgical areas to ensure high quality recovery and reconciliations supported by a sound metallurgical reporting suite.

Qualifications and experience

Minimum qualification required is a BSc. Chemical Engineering, BSc. Metallurgical Science

Applicants should have a minimum of 10years’ experience working in bulk commodity processing (preferred Iron Ore) in a similar role at a large scale mining operation including 5 years in senior management capacity.

Full and extensive Knowledge of Iron Ore mining (or similar), processing & exportation methods is desirable and previous African and/or remote overseas experience in a mine start up environment is important for this role

This role is pivotal in ensuring 365 day coverage of commercial function at all locations.

Maintain site security risk register with continual monitoring to adapt and foresee trends of new security threats and develop new methods to identify, reduce and control inventory shrinkage and other losses that negatively impact profits

Qualifications and experience

Required is a minimum of eight (8) years security work experience with four (4) of these in a supervisory role. A good communicator (verbal and written) with extensive experience in investigation work and capable of training subordinates on security management and practical applications

Good understanding of the Sierra Leone Court System/Local Court System and working with the SLP

Good knowledge of computers– basic word/excel and effective report writing skills.
