One Mr. Ingham O. Peters, 66, on Friday 26th November 2010, received a cheque of fifty million eight hundred thousand leones (Le50,800,000) from the Sierra Leone State Lottery.

The management of the Sierra Leone State Lottery escorted Mr. Peters to State House where his cheque was officially given to him by His Excellency the President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma.

The fortune smiles at Mr. Peters door during a Pick 6 Draw held on November 3rd 2010 that was organized State Lottery.

He won the jackpot with five number.

Our reporter spoke to Mr. Ingham O. Peters at the State Lottery office at Tower Hill in Freetown. Peters disclosed that he started playing lottery since 1964 and has never relented in playing the game. He informed that even when he was in the prison service force he was well known by his colleagues in playing the game. As a retired prison officer this money will continue to prolong my old age, he maintained, adding that consistency is the best tool to achieve any goal. According to him, the money will contribute greatly to improve his status and standard of living. When asked what he intends to do with the money, he was yet to tell because he was over excited.

I cannot tell you now what I will do in the money but I want to use this forum as an opportunity to appeal to all Sierra Leoneans, young or old, rich or poor, to patronize with the indigenous state lottery and win themselves handsome reward, he advised, adding: I retired as a captain some years back and I am getting old but I still associate myself with the state lottery, he maintained.

A deduction of 5.2 Million Leones tax was slashed from the money.

The management of the Sierra Leone State Lottery expressed appreciation to their customers, especially the old ones for their continual patronage.

The state lottery slogan winning to the individual and profit to the nation is worth emulating and patronizing with.
