Hundreds of Comium staff and other distinguished personalities over the weekend assembled at the Tokeh Beach to celebrate Comiums Annual Outing.

Comiums yearly outings are being held on the last Saturday in November of every year and this years outing was held on Saturday 27th November 2010.

The outings serve as a platform to assemble the companys staff in unity. Comium staff from all over the country meets to interact and enjoy themselves as one big family.

President of the Comium Staff Association, Amadu Tucker, who doubles as Accounting Supervisor of Comium, told the Awareness Times at Tokeh Beach that the outings commenced four years ago.

According to him, Comium outings have always impacted positively on the staff of the company.

He said all Comium shops, with the exception of its customer care service, are shut down whenever such outings are held, noting that this is an indication that everybody in Comium is part of the yearly celebrations.

Tucker said the outing is synonymous with series of activities including football match, music and chair competition, miming and dancing competition.

Senior and junior staffs, he continued, are all participants in the said activities.

It is a reunion outing meant for the Comium staff to put their differences aside and unite as one family, he emphasized.

Tucker recalled that the first and second annual outings were held at Bureh Beach, whilst the third and fourth were held at Tokeh Beach.

We are going to select other venues for subsequent outings, he disclosed.

He explained further that Comium holds monthly social activities at the Aberdeen Beach in Freetown.

Tucker described the outings held so far as remarkable and hilarious, adding that they encourage staff to be committed and give them the feeling of belonging.

I am over excited for being part of the show, he concluded.

All staff present expressed similar sentiments and the outing was full of pomp, pageantry and jubilations.
