Dr. Bu-buakei Jabbi has yesterday February 16th 2011 contacted Awareness Times to insist that he had carefully chosen his words uttered to both David Tam Baryoh and Sylvia Blyden. Dr Jabbi insists what he had actually said was he would not be taking SLPP to court ďafter March 5thĒ. He also said there was no way to know the views of ďthe vast majorityĒ of SLPP members as no statistical census of opinions of SLPP members had been done on the issue.
Meanwhile, legal pundits have expressed some doubts as to whether the Supreme Court will entertain the Motion filed by Dr. Bu-buakei Jabbi given an earlier Supreme Court ruling that the interpretation of the SLPP Constitution was the job of an ordinary High Court and not for the Supreme Court which only deals with National Constitutional issues.
Also, of much amusement to those who read his prepared documents is that the learned Dr. Jabbiís points about the SLPP Constitution are so convoluted that it means even the very existence of an SLPP organised legitimate structure after November 1997 is being questioned by Jabbi.
ďWhat he has filed is a load of hogwash,Ē said a disgusted lawyer in Freetown after¬† he had carefully read the filed documents but Dr. Jabbi says he is confident in the veracity of his case. Only time will tell.
