PRESS RELEASE

The Ministry of Finance and economic development announces for the information of the general public, that the government of Sierra Leone has remitted a total of Le 13,943,900,000 (Thirteen Billion, Nine Hundred and Forty Three Million Nine Hundred Thousand Leones) to the bank accounts of local councils for the delivery of services for the devolved sectors. This amount represents second quarter allocation to local councils for 2011.

 

On receipt of these funds, local councils must transfer funds to the various devolved sector accounts as per attached schedule, and display details of such devolved sectors including amounts, on councils notice Boards, and other public places in order to provide access to this information by the general public.
