MESSAGE OF CONGRATULATIONS FROM THE SLPP GERMANY

TO:  1. SLPP National Executive Council (NEC)

       2. SLPP National Chairman and Leader

       3. SLPP Presidential Candidate

       4. The Entire Membership of the SLPP at Home and Abroad

Dear Sir/Madam,

On behalf of the membership of the SLPP Germany Branch, I wish to wholeheartedly congratulate Mr. John Oponjo Benjamin (JOB), on his re-election as the National Chairman and Leader of the SLPP during the recently concluded delegates conference in Freetown.

Allow me also to register, on behalf of the SLPP Germany, our appreciation at the manner in which the national executive council maturely and triumphantly mastered situations that had threatened to dismantle our party since the beginning of this year, 2011. The circumstances that hovered over our party was viewed by many as insurmountable because it was surreptitiously generated by a power we all  know wouldnt stop at anything to get the SLPP disintegrated, in order to compromise our chances at the polls next year. However, the maturity, efficiency and the determination exhibited by our party under the leadership of the charismatic and able JOB torpedoed their diabolical plans. Their heinous intentions woefully failed to work and in fact, it will never work. JOB is indubitably the best thing that has happened to the SLPP, the greatest Chairman and Leader the party has had in recent times. We believe that his re-election was more than prudent.

Now and of course, we wish to unreservedly congratulate our newly elected Flag-bearer, Rtd. Brigadier-General Julius Maada Bio. We possess the opinion and would venture to state that the overwhelming election of the erstwhile Army General, Maada Bio, as our presidential hopeful is yet the wisest thing the party has done in recent things. Our political adversaries are very upset by the election of Maada Bio for obvious reasons; Maada Bio can solidly stand up to any challenge. But that truly is their problem. Our concern now should be to strategize with the strong man and chart a road map down to electoral success come 2011, sharp 12. We therefore ask that everybody makes it a bounden duty to come on board. We may have had differences in the run-up to the delegates conference, but now that the dust has settled down, it behooves us all to concertedly and assiduously work towards victory as one entity. We are convinced that only disunity can prevent us from attaining our goal next year.

Finally, we congratulate all the elected members of the National Executive Council as well as all those who contested for the post of Flag-bearer. The disciplined conduct maintained throughout the entire process as well as the high penchant for democracy define all contestants as an embodiment of peace and unity. This is why we believe that you are in position to fight together to attain our ultimate aim which is to occupy State House, just next year. We say that the chances are now here, with us. Let us make the best out of it.

Once more, on behalf of the SLPP Germany branch, I say congrats and thank you all for the work well done.

LONG LIVE SLPP

LONG LIVE SIERRA LEONE

GOD BLESS US ALL

Sincerely Yours,

Dr. Musa Ben SANNOH, MD, DTM&CH

Chairman, SLPP Germany.

Dresden, Germany.
