Yes, Let the Devil(s) Be Ashamed

Frustrations of charlatans posing as the true journalists in Sierra Leone are now barely hidden. One studied Agriculture before starting to talk-a-lot. One barely got a teaching certificate in religious studies before SLPP largesse made him diplomatic.  Some studied FBC journalism under ones who destroyed oversight of journalist ethics at IMC. One lost house & credibility in London. He is back hustling; he displays what he calls international credentials. He speaks of gutters; he should check morass he is embedded in.

He is ashamed; none pay him heed. He is too weak to look in the mirror so he blames all except himself for self-inflicted woes. He says he wants a chance; not a change. How many chances in one lifetime buddy? He insults us for warning of what TRC revealed was the cause of OUR civil war (i.e: Tribal & Regional Stokings).

Their influence on populace is waning as experienced in their dwindling listenership and dropped sales whilst those they term hijackers are the ones highly trusted by the local populace.

Failures had boasted of affirmative action to suppress our popularity. At end of their affirmation, when they call up vigils, result is a snub; They call up press freedom day marches and attendance is a joke. Their leadership style is too divisive to pull everyone along. Affirmative action failed.

They do not understand why they no longer wield influence with local populace. Only foreigners give them credence hence they can access donor funds in an inexplicable manner. They bad-mouth colleagues to foreign diplomats but who cares?  Their lies will not last especially not in a polity where ordinary citizens repose greater confidence in journalists like myself against them.

Those who always served our country faithfully are flying high in field of journalism So we will continue to cite from the credible TRC Report to ensure our youths know Charles Taylor was not our main problem: We were our own problem! We will cite from TRC Report to put the devil to shame. Yes, let the devil be ashamed. Let all the journalism devils be ashamed!
