No Sacred Cow must mean No Sacred Cow

I have read very serious allegations about evasion of customs duties as published in a local newspaper in which the Anti Corruption Commissioner is quoted as seemingly saying to the papers Manager Editor Ibrahim Labor Fofana, that the Commission might not be able to do its job effectively because of political interference. Whilst I cannot verify the allegations as published, it will be a sad day for Sierra Leone if indeed the allegation is swept under the carpet because of the closeness of the alleged perpetrators to the corridors of power.

The ACC should be given a very free hand to investigate these serious customs allegations. If the allegations are proven to be true, action and examples must be set to serve as a deterrent. No sacred cow must mean no sacred cow.
