HUGO CHAVEZ INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION

FOR PEACE, FRIENDSHIP AND SOLIDARITY

HCIF-PFS

Congratulatory letter to Sierra Leoneís President Ernest Bai Koroma upon his re-election

To H.E. Ernest Bai Koroma

President Re-elect,

Republic of Sierra Leone,

Freetown.

Your Excellency,

Greetings in the name of the One God!

Your Excellency,

On behalf of the Hugo Chavez International Foundation for Peace, Friendship and Solidarity (HCIF-PFS) in all continents and regions of the globe, I wish to extend to Your Excellency our heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of your re-election to the Presidency of the Republic of Sierra Leone. We wish you all the blessings of Godís grace as you continue your work during the presidential term ahead. Our prayers are with you and your team as you dedicate yourselves to faithful public service over the next five years.

At the Hugo Chavez International Foundation, we have been closely following the latest developments in the country. We have great admiration for the people of Sierra Leone for conducting themselves peacefully before, during and after the elections of 17 November 2012.  We believe that democratic freedoms in Sierra Leone will be an example to be followed by all other African countries. We trust that you will guide the process through which these freedoms will give expression in other parts of Africa.

Acknowledging the facts that your re-election is an endorsement of your policy of ďAttitudinal and Behavioral ChangeĒ we are confident that such a climate of trust will be transformed to prosperity for all Sierra Leoneans to live a dignified life. It is also the recognition of Your Excellency efforts to serve the Sierra Leonean people without any iota of doubt. You have in several occasions made it crystal clear that you are President for all Sierra Leoneans, and everyone will be equal under the rule of law, which will protect the rich heritage of political, cultural and religious diversities in the country.

It is certainly a reward you deserve Your Excellency.

As President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, you can exercise remarkable influence in promoting and establishing peace and development across Africa. And so we pray that the God of life will lead you, as you lead your nation, into the ways of change for development and prosperity. In particular, we pray that you may provide role model leadership within the African Union (AU) community in the quest for peace with stability and development and prosperity.

Carry on the good work.

Together with our Country Directorís Office and Staff in Sierra Leone, and our regional Bureaus¬† around the world, we reiterate our wishes and prayers to the One God, that He may grant Your Excellency a successful mandate, and keep Sierra Leone a safe and prosperous country.

With my prayers for your peace and for the peace of Sierra Leone.

Congratulations Mr. President! Congratulations Sierra Leoneans! Congratulations Sierra Leone!

Regards,
