Constituency 92 needs APCís Special attention

Leader & Chairman of the ruling All Peoples Congress (APC) has been urged to pay special attention to ongoing campaigns for this Saturdayís Parliamentary Elections in Constituency 92 which is the largest constituency in the Western Area. Stretching from Creole bastion of Mountain Rural District all the way to Waterloo where a lot of Creoles reside, the APC might lose Constituency 92 on Saturday if speedy steps are not taken to pacify the vociferous speed with which independent candidate, the popular Femi Barnes, is campaigning through the constituency. Femi Barnes of Bathurst Village is actually an APC member who was denied APC party symbol which was given to Mr. Pateh Bah. Many APC members have urged for APC to seriously look into pacifying Barnes.

From credible information, Pateh Bah might find it impossible to defeat both opposition SLPP and the independent candidate. APC might end up with second place position. Meanwhile see below for appeal from APC scribe Victor Foh.

All Peoples Congress

30th January 2013

Dear Residents of Constituency 92,

APC Candidate for Constituency 92 Parliamentary Elections

On behalf of the APC party, I wish to first of all express my condolences to all residents of Constituency 92, especially the Marrah family, for the loss of their son, the late Mr. Abubakarr Marrah, who was the designated PMDC Parliamentary candidate, for the 2012 elections. May his soul rest in peace.

Let me also take this opportunity to thank you for the trust you bestowed in our leader and chairman, His Excellency Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, by re-electing him as your President for a second term. The entire leadership and membership of the party is very grateful for the contribution of members of your Constituency to the APC victory in all the four elections.

In the last five years, the APC government made transformational strides in the energy sector, delivery of free health care, and in the construction of roads. There is also the on-going construction of the hydro-electric dam at Gloucester. While we have not yet reached the Promised Land, you will agree with me that we are heading in the right direction.

In this light therefore, our party agents and activists will be at your door steps again to solicit your vote for the APC candidate Mr. Pateh Bah, on the 9th February 2013. As your humble Secretary General, I would like to recommend Mr. Bah to you. A man of his words, Mr. Bah willing to work actively with our charismatic and selfless leader in order to consolidate the gains we have made in the last five years. Furthermore, Mr. Bah is determined to make the next five years look even better than the last five. A vote for Mr. Bah is therefore a vote for more jobs, a resolve to do more than greater prosperity.

Finally, whichever way you choose to vote on 9th February 2013, I would like to implore you to please maintain the peace and avoid violence. However, I implore you to vote right. Vote for the APC candidate, Mr. Pateh Bah.

Signed, Victor Bockarie Foh

National Secretary General, All Peoples Congress (APC).
