President Koroma's message to the Youths has been taken to Sierra Leonean Students in the Russian Federation

His Excellency the President, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma's message to the youths of Sierra Leone during the speech from the Throne in Parliament has been taken to students in Moscow, the Federation of Russia. 

 

Addressing students in Moscow, Sierra Leone's Ambassador to the Federation of Russia has appealed to concentrate on their studies and get themselves fully equipped by acquiring appropriate skills and knowledge in their quest to participate in the development of Sierra Leone.

 

Ambassador Yambasu informed the students union in Russia about the peaceful conduct of the Parliamentary and local council elections in Sierra Leone.  He also spoke to the students about the Presidents vision for the agenda for change which constitutes four main development aspects such as provision of energy, water supply, good roads and free health care for all Sierra Leoneans and this will eventually lead on to the Agenda for prosperity.  

 

The Ambassador admonished the students to study hard and excel in their various courses so that they would be able to secure good jobs at the end of their studies. He cited areas in which the students could be gainfully employed at the end of their courses, these include the provision of employment by Rusal, the fisheries industry and Lukoil Oil companies in Sierra Leone. 

 

In her contribution, the Head of Chancery, Mr. John Bobor Laggah called on the students to prepare them for the future development of Sierra Leone.  The First Secretary of the Embassy, Mrs. Kumba Nyandemoh whose brief includes support and welfare of the students, appealed to the students appealed to ensure that they succeed in their various courses that they are undertaking in the Russian Federation. She advised the students that they must embrace and support each other as Sierra Leone is looking forward to them for the future advancement of our country.

 

In his contribution, the President of the Students Union, Mr. Ibrahim Kapowa commended the Ambassador for the good work that he has been doing for students in the Federation of Russia. He congratulated the Ambassador for the electoral successes of the All People Congress Party in the presidential, parliamentary and local council elections.

 

In another development, Ambassador Yambasu ------ his colleagues at the 53 anniversary celebrations of the Peoples Friendship University in Moscow.

 

The theme of this years celebration was the importance of Rock n Roll in the international scene.
