A Sierra Leonean owned Church, Light of Christ International (TLOCI) Ministry, based in New Jersey in the United States of America has on Saturday 27th April 2013 donated a total of 43 Wheelchairs, 52 Crutches, cartoons of assorted medicines and used clothing to the Connaught Hospital, the Police Hospital and the Grafton Displaced and Disabled Camps all in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Presenting the donation to the Police Hospital in Kingtom, the Head Pastor of TLOCI, Pastor Kolleh Samura said for the past three years, the Mission has been engaged in such donation exercises across the country. This according to him is a call from God to the Mission, adding that the Ministry seeks the interest of the vulnerable and that it is part of the Missions vision to support them.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the hospital, the Doctor in-charge, Dr. Jalloh said the donation was very timely, adding that they have recently completed the construction of a new hospital which is in dire need of the donated items. He on behalf of the hospital thanked Pastor Kolleh Samura and team for the donation, whilst assuring them that the items will be used for their intended purposes.

Presenting the items at the Grafton Displaced and Disabled Camps, Pastor Samura disclosed items were donated to the Mission by its partner organization in the USA, Joni and Friends. He urged beneficiaries to stay focused and use the items to develop themselves. He said the Mission has over 50 students under its schools scholarship scheme, which according to him, will soon be extended to tertiary institutions/
