On Friday August 21st 2015, Kenema lost a hero in person of ALHAJI BRIMA MOHAMMAD TAIMEH commonly known as SAMBA; a nickname he got from a powerful ‘toughest’ actor in Indian movies.
Alhaji Taimeh was a famous Man through out the country but particularly in the East of Sierra Leone where he was a major player in the life of Kenema people.

He started his active politics in 1967 with the late K.Y. Kaisamba II, a Paramount Chief in Kenema and the late M.K. Vangahum later in 1969.
He served in various positions such as 1967 Native Chairman for Koya chiefdom, Regent Chief in Koya chiefdom, Chairman Inter-Religious councils in Eastern Region, Chairman CTA Government Secondary School Kenema, Adviser to the current Paramount Chief in Kenema City, Chairman Kenema Central mosque, Kenema District chairman of the great ALL PEOPLE’S CONGRESS (APC) and Adviser to the current Kenema APC Executive.
He left behind 10 Children; 8 Boys and 2 girls. He was laid to rest on the same Friday he died and his funeral rites are now ongoing. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
