A seventy five-man delegation led by the Minister of Sports, Honourable Paul Kamara left the shores of Sierra Leone on 3rd September 2015 to participate in the All African Games taking place in Cong Brazzaville, the birth place of the games.
The delegation is made of athletes, coaches and officials of the twelve (12) sporting disciplines. Sierra Leone has not been taking part in the games since the country last took part in 1992 due to the country’s financial obligation to the organizers.
With the constant persuasion of the Sports Minister, Honourable Paul Kamara and his deputy, Honourable Ismael Al-Sankoh Conteh, they have been able to convince H.E. President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma to approve the payment of the huge debt the country had owed the organizers over years gone by. With the settlement of payment, Sierra Leone has once again been proudly admitted into the All African Games.
