President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma has warned Sierra Leoneans that although Ebola has been put under control, it has not yet been fully eradicated. He called on citizens to continue to adhere to the health measures, rules and regulations aimed at defeating the stubborn virus.
The president spoke to a mammoth crowd of party faithfuls during the official turning of the sod ceremony for the construction of the APC northern region party office on Saturday 5th September, 2015, along the Magburaka highway in Makeni.

As Chairman and Leader of the ruling party, the head of state disclosed that one positive case has emerged from those quarantined following the death of an Ebola positive woman in Kambia district recently.
He called for continued vigilance and reminded that the state of public health emergency was extended for this very reason, and berated opponents to the extension of the state of public health emergency for their shortsightedness.
