CULLED FROM HER FACEBOOK PUBLIC WALL

Hi All. The last time I updated this my public profile page was on Valentines Day (February 14th). Since then, I have been so busy but let me find time to do this update alongside a photo of myself up at Parliament past Wednesday 30th March 2016. I have been away from Facebook because since I accepted to serve our great President once again, I have had a lot of work to do both in the day and the night. I succeed at anything I put my heart to, because I work very hard. For example, for the past 2 to 3 weeks, on many nights, I quietly check out market stalls where homeless children sleep. I quietly observe commercial sex workers plying their night trade along red light areas. During the daytime, I engage many other sectors such as discussing arrangements with relevant persons for this years Muslim Hajj or engaging Disables like Hearing Impaired whose national association I have assisted by allowing them to, amongst others, use my private office as their registered disable contact address - for almost 10 years now since 2006.

I have also been re-activating many of my international contacts to see how I can leverage them for my task ahead. I only have about two years to do so much before the end of H.E. President Koromas tenure.

Dr. Sylvia Blyden

Nationally, I have been working quietly but very, very hard to start to build consensus amongst certain groupings that are key in strategic areas of the countrys social welfare.

Amidst all this, at night and during the day, I have been reading to bring me up to speed for the challenges ahead.

My designated Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender & Childrens Affairs is totally responsible for Pillar 6 and Pillar 8 of the Agenda for Prosperity as well as key parts of Pillar 3. This means around 40% of the success of the Agenda for Prosperity lies on the team at my Ministry. I am not underestimating the task ahead. It is huge. Very huge.

Thankfully, as a highly gifted intellectual and a trained and certified medical doctor with a wide hands-on experience in social issues affecting my country, many aspects of the challenges ahead are already well absorbed by me and I have a clear vision with which to hit the ground running within 100 days of taking up office as Minister of Social Welfare, Gender & Childrens Affairs.

So with this backdrop given, the last thing on my mind is wasting time arguing with total nonentities on social media especially Facebook.

You all can however rest assured that I was not queried on a single one of my academic documents submitted to Parliament as they all, including my United States Governments ECFMG Certification are very authentic.

If you look at my ECFMG certificate details, you will see I took an additional very difficult third exams known as the Clinical Skills Assessment (CSA) exams in addition to the Basic Science and Clinical Science exams that others took. Very few foreign trained doctors can pass the United States CSA exams. I passed it very easily at my first attempt. Some others certificates being nefariously floated this weekend, clearly did not opt to take the very difficult CSA exams (den frade de CSA exam=ؓ) so those floated certificates are of far less academic calibre than mine. Dont show me a nineties certificate without the CSA pass. Show me your 2001 updated ECFMG where you are stated as having passed the CSA test. Then you have grounds to challenge someone who is fully certified by ECFMG as having passed her CSA - unlike you. Simple.

The U.S. Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) has provided an easy portal on their website to verify ECFMG certificates.

Such verification does not include driving to Philadelphia from Maryland as I hear someone is claiming.

Meanwhile, following my brilliant performance at the parliamentary committee interview on Wednesday past, I have now been formally invited by the House of Parliament to be at Parliament on Tuesday 5th April 2016 at 9:30AM when Parliament resumes from recess; so as for me to be presented to the whole House as recommended by the Committee on Appointments which interviews Presidential Nominees.

Before I end, let me rhetorically ask few questions: Was I questioned by the parliamentary committee on my academic certificates? Did I submit fake papers? Is my ECFMG Certificate a fake? The answer is No! No! No! to all the above. Bo, ar pass dat bo... I am much bigger than that guys and I guess you all know it.

Hon. Dr. Bernadette Lahai did not say a single negative thing against me. Infact, she was so positive on my record and she very highly commended me to the hearing of all present. Same with Majority Leader Hon. Ibrahim Bundu who was also so positive in his words. I sailed through my public interview with so many bursts of applause.

So, I dont know where the authors of the various trash being floated got their lies from. One trash article is malicious to extent of saying that I confessed to have a fake Ph.D and another lies that I dropped out of medical school whilst yet another one says the ADPs Kamarainba has opposed me.

The fact is that I am the only ministerial nominee that Kamarainba has gone on TV and Radio to publicly praised as most fitted on at least 4 occasions now in the last 2 weeks.

So, see you up at Parliament on Tuesday for my presentation to the entire House and hopefully, a day or two later, you will see me again up at State House for my Swearing-In Ceremony by His Excellency the President as a trusted one of only 23 people out of over 7 million citizens that our President wants seated with him & the VP as Cabinet Ministers.

I know the thought of all this success and elevation of me, is distressing to those unhappy failures who have spent years manufacturing funny allegations against me and are still continuing to do so. It must be very bitter for them to learn it has all been in vain and let me assure them that it will continue to be in vain.

I am a highly confident, blessed and trained medical doctor who is admired and loved by millions of my people. Let my detractors take heart.

Finally, can I use the academic title Dr. in front of my name? Yes, I am 100% entitled to do so until the day I die because I am a trained medical doctor who passed all the required exams to be called Dr. - both in Sierra Leone and in the United States of America including the additional very difficult Clinical Skills Assessment test conducted by the U.S. Government that certain unsavory characters could not and did not attempt.
