Alim Kamara is a talented rapper, storyteller and poet who came from humble beginnings in Sierra Leone but grew up in London where his drive to inspire was influenced by society and his African background. His lyrics and poetry content evokes empowerment and liberation. His music crosses all boundaries appealing to the masses, and his words flows delicately into the minds of the listener.
Alim attended Middlesex University where he exceeded his expectations by not only graduated with a first class honours degree in creative and media writing, he also wrote the signature poem for the University (featured in the graduation materials 2007//08). Alim also received The Edna Fuller prize in recognition for being an outstanding student in English and allied subjects who made a significant contribution to the University.
His passion for children has extended to founding an inspirational programme in his home village in Sierra Leone, which has transformed 600 lives in just 2 years. The programme A-Scholars aims to help children faced with limited education materials and impoverished well-being through motivational talks and also offers supplies for the daily functions of a school day.
