SALE OF UNCUT GEM DIAMOND BY INTERNATIONAL TENDER
The Ministry of Mines and Mineral Resources hereby informs the general public that the date for the opening of bids for the 709.41 carats uncut gem diamond will now be on Thursday 11th May 2017.
Note: Acid cleaning of the diamond changed the weight from the previously announced 709.48 to 709.41 carats.
The extension is to give sufficient time for prospective bidders, particularly those outside Sierra Leone, to participate in the bidding process.
In this regard, the viewing period has been extended to Wednesday 10th May 2017, and interested bidders can view the diamond at the Bank of Sierra Leone from Monday to Friday between the hours of 10:00am and 2:00pm. Viewing will be arranged strictly by appointment.
Interested parties can purchase bidding documents for $ 5,000 (Five Thousand U.S Dollars) from the address below:

Bids will be received and opened in front of all bidders on the same day, Thursday 11th May 2017 at 11:00am. The venue will be announced later. Bids must be accompanied by a bid security of USD 50,000 (Fifty Thousand U.S Dollars).
