Chairman and Leader of the Alliance Democratic Party (ADP), Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray has on Thursday 25th May 2017, told Awareness Times Newspaper that the ADP is ready to disgrace both the ruling All Peoples Congress (APC) party as well as John Oponjo Benjamin (JOB) of the main opposition Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) in tomorrow’s bye election for Ward 025, Segbwema Town, Kailahun District, Eastern Province of Sierra Leone. Segbwema is the birthplace of JOB and considered to be an opposition SLPP stronghold. However, the ruling APC has been making inroads into the area. Despite this, Kamarainba says his newly formed ADP will beat both SLPP and APC parties tomorrow thus putting the two older parties into shame and the disgrace of being beaten by a new kid on the block.
Mr. Kamarainba Mansaray disclosed that the coming bye election in Segbwema will be the first election that the ADP is contesting in South Eastern Sierra Leone and that his motive is to sell the vision of his party and preach a message of change to the people of the South-East.

Meanwhile, giving his own side, the former Chairman and Leader of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP), John Oponjo Benjamin, who himself hailed from Segbwema Town, accused the ruling All Peoples Congress (APC) of using money to buy votes ahead of tomorrow’s bye election in Ward 025, Segbwema, Kailahun district.
