Ambassador Gibril Santigie Moseray Fadika, the late business magnate, investor, philanthropist and flag bearer aspirant of the All Peoples Congress (APC) is still missed by the people of Sierra Leone.

Because of his widespread grassroots support among the youths, women and elders right across the length and breadth of the country, SUPER as he was called, became the most popular politician after President Koroma the number one gentle man in the country.

The late SUPER is missed by one and all for his countless humanitarian gestures, and love for his country. Moseray in the capacity of All Works of Life (AWOL) Godfather invested millions of Leones in helping venerable children to access quality education in Primary, Secondary and Tertiary levels.

As Executive Chairman of the African Minerals Limited, he employed thousands of Sierra Leoneans in order to address the issue of unemployment in the country.

He was seen as a person of high religious tolerance.

Despite been a strong Muslim, the late man spent millions in helping churches and mosques in the country and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Growing up in the central district of Freetown, Magazine Cut, he was a social person, which prompted him to help in reforming the country’s musical and modeling industries by helping lots of artists and sponsored pageant shows.

Culturally, he was a major sponsor of the most popular entertaining annual PADDLE masquerade in the country which attracts Sierra Leoneans at home and aboard.

Sports stakeholders describe him as someone who came to move the country’s game forward because of his love for youth and the country.

In order to address issues with people whom he could not reach out immediately, The Moseray Fadika Trust Found was set up to help, especially in the areas of Education, Gender Empowerment, Education, Sport, and Social issues.

During the Ebola outbreak in the country, he stood firmly in fighting the disease and helping people to get food.

As Executive Director, he helped Africa Minerals Ltd  with a cumulative investment portfolio of over 3.1 billion United States dollars in Africa. With promising investments in iron ore, oil and gas and related resources in nine West African countries including Sierra Leone, he called on Sierra Leoneans in the Diaspora to join President Ernest Bai Koroma and his government in moving the country forward, regardless of their backgrounds and political affiliations.

On 16th March 2016 Ambassador Gibril Santigie Moseray Fadika was appointed as the first Goodwill Ambassador and Business Ambassador for the Commonwealth Africa Initiative at the Commonwealth Africa Summit held in London, United Kingdom.

The summit brought together a wide range of world leaders and high profile people from across the 53 Commonwealth countries.

Presidents, former Presidents, Ministers, High Commissioners, Members of Parliament, Policy Makers, and representatives of the private sector, civil society, Diaspora organizations, youth groups, Commonwealth agencies, academia, celebrities and the media were in attendance. After that award, President Koroma extolled the achievements of the Executive Chairman of the African Minerals Limited, and also called on other Sierra Leonean to fallow his foot step in developing his country.

He described the award conferred on Mr. Moseray Fadika as a motivation for young people, and added that such things are happening today in Sierra Leone because of the kind of leadership provided by his government to ensure young people think big as well as the space created for the private sector to thrive.

“We all know that the future of the world is in Africa.

But it will not happen if we continue to be laid back. It will only happen when we go out there and work hard.

When we use our initiative, when we use the drive in us to transform the natural resources we have, the agricultural potentials we have, the touristic potentials that we have into a value that will bring in dividends and improve on the quality of life of our people. I believe that is what Mr. Fadika has been doing,” the President stated.

Ambassador Gibril Santigie Moseray Fadika SUPER coming in to politic wass a national call by Sierra Leoneans and he came with a clear vision to help the country with his slogan “WE ARE BORN POOR. WE MUST NOT DIE POOR”.

With the Koroma era coming to an end, many poor downtrodden Sierra Leoneans saw Fadika as the fittest person to succeed president Koroma who has done so much for the country, but the Almighty Allah snatched that beautiful dream for Mama Salone.
