The Alumni of Guadalupe Secondary School in Lunsar has on Sunday 6th August 2017, held a fruitful discussion at the school hall on the various clauses and chapters of their constitution so that they can make positive inroads to improve on the standards of education in mentoring young girls that are attending the school to successfully complete their education.
The national president of the association, Madam Josephine Tucker revealed that the Alumni constitution seeks to address the challenges that have been confronting the school. She added that the Alumni Constitution would serve as a bed rock to hold members of the Alumni responsible and accountable for any lapses in the school. She urged members of the association to take their time to understand the constitution so that they would know their responsibilities to the young girls that are attending the school.

Madam Josephine Tucker disclosed that the association has been in existence for over 40 years now and since then the Alumni association have been positively creating inroads in the school so that they can better improve on the learning environment for pupils and teachers of the school.
She urged their colleagues to reflect on the motto of the school: Light is Life, Light for Life and she said is what they should be thinking of always so that they can embrace and attract developmental activities in the school.
Madam Josephine added that Guadalupe Alumni - SL is very important auxiliary to the success of the young girls that are attending the school as it helps to build up their future and creates rooms for mentorship.
She added that previously, the absence of a constitution leads them to many difficulties but with the help of the constitution, they will become stronger than before.
The Financial Secretary of the Association Madam Zainab Watfa in giving the update of their membership said they have more than two hundred registered members but only 46 are paid-up members and she urged other old girls of the school to cooperate with the Alumni Association so that together they can contribute to mama Salone and improve the learning environment of school children.
The former National President Madam Marie Song Kanu said they decided to come up with the association in 1977 in order to bring their old girls together and do something for their beloved Guadalupe School.
