"Again, the 100ft long Njama Kowa Bridge is a newly constructed bridge. The villagers had for time in memoriam used a local footpath swinging bridge which sometimes posed serious risk to their lives. With the construction of this bridge, traveling distance from Bo to Njama Kowa has been drastically reduced by more than 50 kilometers", the SLRA boss said. He further disclosed that funds used for the construction and rehabilitation of the bridges came from the Road Fund. The Director General therefore maintained that with governments continued support, the Authority shall continue to rehabilitate/ reconstruct more roads and bridges country wide so as to enhance the safe movement of road users.
