A regional bank based in Sierra Leone seeks to engage personnel for immediate employment for the following positions:

Head, Management Information Systems: HR/2007/HMIS/001

The Job: The Head, Management Information System reports directly to the Managing Director and is responsible for the Banks Information Technology unit.

The suitable candidate will be responsible for:

Installing of software and configuring hardware, providing IT support to staff and formulating training priorities for the organization.

Writing up and designing of database programs, preparing and designing of various IT procedures/manuals.

Managing the entire network system and advising Management on any new technology.

The Person: The successful applicant should possess strong leadership qualities and must be a good team player. Should not be more than 35 years of age.

Qualification and Experience

Applicant must possess a good degree in Computer Science or its equivalent and MCSE/MCP with a minimum of five years relevant experience in a financial institution, of which two years should be a hands-on experience in implementing Windows 2003 Server in a work environment.

2. Legal Adviser: HR/2007/LA/002

The Job: The Legal Adviser reports directly to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer and is responsible to advise and handle all legal issues. Should review issues in corporate governance and advise accordingly. Should coordinate Board activities and disseminate strategic information

The Person: The successful applicant should be an ambitious and confident individual with excellent personality and possess good inter-personal, analytical and communication skills. Must not be above thirty five years

Qualification and Experience: The applicant must have a first Degree in Law with at least five years working experience on corporate issues and legislations.

3. Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive

Officer: HR/2007/PA/003

The Job: The Personal Assistant reports directly to the Managing Director and will be responsible for assisting the Managing Director in organizing his daily schedule and provide administrative support to the office of the Managing Director.

The Person: The successful applicant should have a strong character, must be of high integrity, with good interpersonal and communication skills.

The successful candidate should be willing to work long hours. Candidates must not be more than forty years old.

Qualification and Experience: The applicant must have a first Degree, preferably in the Social Sciences or Liberal Arts from a recognized university or member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. Should have at least 5 years banking experience plus good computer skills.

4. Branch Managers: HR/2007/BM/004

The Job: The Branch Manager reports directly to the Head, Operations and Branch Co-ordination and is responsible for overseeing the operations of the branch.

The Person: The successful applicant should be an ambitious, confident and highly motivated individual with excellent personality and possess good inter-personal, analytical and communication skills. Must have the capacity to lead and coordinate Marketing activities and branch operations. Should be a good team player and result oriented. Should not be above forty years.

Qualification and Experience: The applicant must have a first Degree or its equivalent with at least 5 years banking experience of which three must have been in a middle level management position.

5. Corporate Communications/Research Officers: HR/2007/PA/005

The Job: The Corporate Communications/Research Officers report to the Head, Human Resources and Administration

The Person: The successful applicants should have strong written and oral communication, research and analytical skills. Must have the ability to interact with the public and the mass media in disseminating information and building and maintaining effective business connections. Must have good inter-personal skills and should be a good team player

Qualification and Experience: The applicant must have a good first Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Economics, Finance or other related fields with a minimum of three years relevant working experience. Must have good computer skills.

6 Banking Operations Officers:HR/2007/B006

The Job: The Banking Operations Officer will report to the Branch Manager and will be responsible for all back office operations of the branch.

The Person: .The successful applicant should have strong leadership quality with strong analytical and communication skills. Should be self-motivated with good initiative and a team player.

Qualification and Experience: The applicant must have a first Degree, preferably in the Social Sciences, Liberal Arts or Economics from a recognized university with at least two years banking experience. Must have good computer skills.

7. Credit/Marketing Officers: HR/2007/CMA/007

The Job: The Credit and Marketing Officer reports directly to the Head, Credit and Marketing and will be responsible for marketing activities to attract high valued customers to the Bank and conduct credit risk assessments.

The Person: .The successful applicant should be a highly self-motivated individual with strong marketing and communication skills.

Qualification and Experience: The applicant must have a first Degree preferably in the Social Sciences, Liberal Arts or Economics from a recognized university. A post graduate qualification in marketing will be an added advantage. Must have good computer skills.

8. Management Trainees: HR/2007/MT/008

The Job: The Officer-in-Training would be exposed to basic professional courses and on-the-job training necessary to commence a challenging but successful career in a forward looking bank.

The Person: The successful applicant should be an ambitious and confident young graduate who has excellent personality and possesses good inter-personal, analytical and communication skills.

Qualification and Experience: Newly qualified graduate, not more than 26 years old, with good degree in any discipline, who are desirous of pursing a rewarding career in banking in a multi-cultural setting
