Allan M. Kargbo, a student pursuing a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at the Government Technical Institute (GTI) at Kissy Dock Yard and residing at No. 62 Liverpool Street in Freetown, last Wednesday August 2nd 2007 won the weekly Hundred Thousand Leones (Le 100,000) cash prize of the weekly Awareness Times Raffle Draw.

Senior Reporter Abubakar Munu (left) hands over the cash to the Winner

The raffle being the second since the resumption of the game two weeks ago was as usual, held in our Office located on 17 Garrison Street in Freetown. Staff and members of the public witnessed when one Mohamed Kargbo, a Freetown petty trader of No. 76 Thunder Hill picked the winning coupon from a box of many marked drop your coupons here.

One of our senior reporters, Abu Bakarr Munu immediately contacted the lucky winner on his mobile phone number of 033-836974 who identified himself and rushed to our office to proudly collected his prize of One-Block.

Speaking in appreciation, Allan told Awareness Times that he was surprised over the winning as according to him, he seldom raffles.

He said he often grabs copies of Awareness Times Newspaper from his mother in order to read sports, news briefs and local news pages as well as hot political stories which according to him, are hardly found in other newspapers. Allan who concluded by saying he was going to use his prize money to entertain himself and friends over the weekend, called on others to always try Awareness Times Newspapers raffle.

The newspaper is number one in all aspects! Allan urged.
