Public Notice from Mrs. Sylvia Jolliminah Blyden in London, UK
Jan 26, 2010, 17:27
My attention has been drawn to a January 25th 2010 publication in a Freetown tabloid written in defence of H.E. President Ernest Bai Koroma in which it is wrongly alleged that my daughter, Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden once slapped me, her own mother, over an argument.
In all her 38 years on this earth, my daughter has never done anything to me that I have been ashamed of, let alone lifted her hand to slap me. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden is deeply religious and a selfless Sierra Leonean who cares passionately for the welfare of her fellow citizens and country. Sylvia has always been a source of pride to me and her family.
Finally, I have been watching, as a concerned British citizen of Sierra Leonean origin, developments in Sierra Leone since my daughter published about someone falsely presented to Kailahun people as the First Lady. It is obvious to not just me but to many around the globe that President Ernest Koroma needs to work on improving upon the moral calibre of a small number of his Advisers, Aides and Close Associates.
